We both helped get this Elk. Though it seems like Josh's bullets had more power behind them. He probably just made better shots. Anyway, we're pretty happy here on the first day we ever attempted hunting Elk. Needless to say, we had no idea what we were in for. The rack on this guy doesn't measure up to the body on him. It was pretty early in the mornng when got him, but it was justing getting dark by the time we got him out of there.
Aaron and Josh are brothers and both live in Meridian, Idaho. They were raised in Nevada, but moved to Idaho. Both graduated college at Boise State University with degrees in Electrical Engineering. For work they have engineering jobs at Micron Technology. For fun, they love to Hunt and Fish.

Josh's 2007 Mule Deer
After a long morning hunt covering miles through the hills, they gave up as they needed to get Josh back to town for a class at BSU. Anyway, on the way out, Aaron looked over and saw this deer and another hauling through the hills. They stopped and Josh ran towards the spot where they last saw the deer. Just as the deer was getting ready to go over the top of the mountain. Josh shot and dropped this deer in its tracks. It is the cleanest kill they have ever seen, one shot to the jaw. No wasted meat on this deer. Now, no one knows if he Josh really meant to hit the deer in the jaw, but lucky or not, he got it.
One thing this hunt taught Aaron was to make sure and put your hunting boots on before you leave the house. It's not all that fun trucking around the mountain is flip flops!
